ALLENDALE, IL (WFIE) - Officials with St. Mary's tell 14 News Life Flight was sent to Allendale, Illinois for a trench collapse.
They say they were called around 11:30 a.m. Friday. Officials say one patient was sent to St. Mary's.
Wabash County Sheriff Joe Keeling tells 14 News the man was working with two other men, digging the trench, when the collapse happened. He says the two other men had dug the victim out by the time emergency crews arrived.
Sheriff Keeling says the collapse happened in a remote area north west of Allendale.
He says the family doesn't want to release the victim's name, because not all family has been notified.
Sheriff Keeling says the man was conscious and talking while he was being taken away. We do not yet have a patient condition from St. Mary's.
