GIBSON COUNTY, IN (WFIE) - A Washington, Indiana, man is arrested after troopers say he nearly caused several accidents on State Road 57 in Gibson County.

Indiana State Police say a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Dustin Kimmell was following an unmarked patrol car too closely Monday afternoon.

The trooper says Kimmell then passed him and several other cars in a no passing zone. Cars in the other lane, the trooper says, had to pull off the road to avoid crashing with Kimmell.

Troopers tried to stop Kimmell south of Oakland City, but they say he wouldn't stop, and passed more cars in a no passing zone.

Kimmell was eventually pulled over at State Road 168 and taken to the Gibson County Jail.

He's faces resisting and reckless driving charges. He's being held on a $1,300 bond.
