NEWBURGH, IN (WFIE) - A $100 raffle ticket will put you in the running for a new home.
Work is underway on the Saint Jude's dream home.
It's located in Havenwood Meadows near Hillsdale Road, north of Evansville.
Raffle tickets for the $300,000 home will be sold starting next month.
The drawing will be this fall.
Tuesday, children of Saint Jude's wrote messages and signed their names on the home's foundation.
"All proceeds from the home are going to benefit St. Jude," Courtney Burge with St. Jude Children's Hospital said. "It's just a way to get them involved. We have a builder who has generously donated his time, but we want the patients to feel like they're a part of this house too, and we have a lot of local patients in the area so it's their opportunity to see the house and kind of leave their mark."
St. Jude's is in Memphis where research is done on catastrophic diseases affecting children.
