EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The weather was perfect for Ride for the Red, a motorcycle ride for the Red Cross.
Helping out at the fundraiser was Willie Ruckman.
Ruckman is a survivor of the EF3 tornado that ripped through the Eastbrook mobile home park in November 2005.
Saturday, Ruckman said he's giving back to the Red Cross for helping him get back on his feet after losing everything.
"It's strange to be a volunteer and helping people, then suddenly you become a client," Ruckman said. "That's what happened in my situation, and that's what motivates me to organize this fundraiser."
The event raised $2,000 Saturday.
That money will benefit the five local chapters in the Tri-State.
