HARDIN CO., IL (WFIE) - An accident at the Hog Rock River Rally near Cave In Rock, Illinois claimed the life of two people, and injured at least four others.
It happened Saturday afternoon just after 4:00 at IL Route 1 and Lamb Road.
Illinois State Police said the driver of a pick-up truck failed to slow down and struck three motorcycles.
All six riders were ejected, authorities said.
Thomas Bennett, 35 of Lerna, IL and his passenger, Charity Decker, 36 of Mattoon, IL both died from their injuries.
Randall Brooks, 45 of Olney, IL and Richard Hall, 43 of Sumner, IL were both taken to a local hospital.
Sandy Taylor, 44 of Noble, IL and Dana Darnold, 49 of Lawrenceville, IL were both taken by air evacuation to Deaconess.
The driver of the pick-up truck, Danny Gaddis was arrested for failure to reduce speed causing an accident. He and his passenger were treated for minor injures.
The accident occured near the Hog Rock River Rally festival, held at Cave In Rock, IL.
