HAUBSTADT, IN (WFIE) - A man is arrested and charged in connection with a fatal police chase back in July.
The Gibson County Sheriff's Office arrested Commodore Riley West, III Wednesday afternoon in Princeton.
According to Sheriff Allen Harmon, West was staying with some friends.
Deputies issued an arrest warrant about a week and a half ago.
Tips called into the sheriff's office gave deputies an idea of where West was staying, but they were giving him the chance to turn himself in.
Instead, deputies arrested West without incident.
Our media partner, the Princeton Daily Clarion, reports West faces a long list of charges, including conspiracy to make meth and resisting law enforcement.
Investigators are still trying to figure out if West, or 42-year-old Joe Garrett, was driving during a police chase that ended in the crash that killed Garrett.
Police say West ran away from the scene.
The two were being chased because police say they saw them stealing anhydrous ammonia.
