HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) - Three different counties responded to a fire in Henderson County Wednesday evening.

Crews from Union, Webster and Henderson Counties responded to the house fire on John Tapp Road.

The Corydon Fire Chief said the log home caught fire around 6:00 p.m.

The blaze began in the kitchen, officials said.

Residents were inside at the time the fire began, but were able to make it out without getting injured, according to firefighters.

Due to the location of the home, firefighters said they had problems getting enough water to the blaze.

Crews are letting it burn out.

Firefighters expect to be there monitoring the fire until 9:30 or 10:00 p.m.
