EDWARDS CO., IL (WFIE) - An Edwards County, Illinois couple is accused of giving a boy prescription drugs that killed him.

Crystal Nash, the mother of the boy and his step-father, Joshua Nash are charged with felony counts of drug induced homicide and involuntary manslaughter.

They'll make their next court appearance on Tuesday.

Authorities say five-year-old Jason Hoy ingested a headache medicine containing codeine before being found unresponsive in his Grayville home on June 9.

He later died at the hospital.
