OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - Owensboro residents told the city what they'd like to see in the parks system.
More than 500 Owensboro and Daviess County residents filled out the survey.
A skate park and a dog park were atop the wish list, and there's also demand for an indoor multi-purpose facility.
"One of the items that keeps coming up, and it came up in 2002, and it's coming up again in this survey is to build a multi-use, multi-generational indoor facility," Owensboro Parks and Recreation Director Cyndi Sturgeon said. "We have wonderful outdoor facilities here in Owensboro. The commission has been wonderful to support those, and now we have a need for indoor facility space."
The city said it will consider a multi-purpose facility at Moreland Park or possibly on the Executive Inn property.
