BOONVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Warrick County hosted another H1N1 vaccine clinic on Thursday.
Those who showed up were asked to prove they are residents of the county.
The clinic started officially at 2:00 but residents started lining up Thursday morning.
At the last vaccine clinic a few weeks ago, officials say several Vanderburgh County residents tried to cross county lines to get their vaccine.
So now, officials are cracking down to make sure that only those who live in Warrick County get vaccinated.
"We had an overwhelming number of out of county residents," Frank Hijuelos of the Warrick County Health Department. "Actually more than in-county residents and this was something unexpected that we didn't plan for."
Officials worked their way through the line that wrapped around the Warrick County courthouse, checking for proof of residency, such as a driver's license.
If people were not able to show identification, they were told to wait until the end.
Some Warrick County residents, like Eric Altheide, showed up with more than one form of ID.
Altheide was first in line Thursday morning at 7:45.
He says he's glad the health department is checking for ids.
"I think they have to mandate it in some way to make sure the right people are getting it and I think this is the best way to do it."
Seven stations were set up in the basement to administer the H1N1 shot to children and adults in the high risk groups.
The next clinic is scheduled for Tuesday from 10:00 to 4:00 at Deaconess Gateway for Warrick County pregnant women only.
Another clinic is tentatively set next Thursday at Deaconess Gateway.
