EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Some local economists see encouraging signs of a recovery.
They spoke at an economic outlook forum in downtown Evansville Wednesday.
Representatives from U.S.I., The University of Evansville and the I.U. Kelley School of Business all gave their predictions.
They agree it's going to be a slow recovery.
"I expect we will see some substantial growth in Indiana maybe 20 to 30,000 jobs in the coming year, but if you go back say three years ago, we were getting that many jobs a month added to our workforce and it may take us a year to see that much this time around," Jerry N. Conover, Ph.D., with the I.U. Kelley School of Business said.
They said it's still unclear whether the economy has hit rock bottom.
