An Evansville man who tried to shoot a real estate agent, is now a free man.
On Tuesday, Judge Wayne Trockman modified Tony Fuhrer's eight-year prison term, to probation and counseling.
In November 2001, Fuhrer pointed a loaded gun at real estate agent Turk Walton, and pulled the trigger three times. The gun jammed and didn't fire.
Fuhrer had originally been charged with attempted murder, but pleaded guilty to the charge of attempted aggravated battery.
According to published reports, Walton was okay with the release.
The attempted shooting stemmed from a disagreement the men had, over remodeling done in Walton's home.
