UPDATE, MON 4PM: Thirty-two-year old Christina Cutteridge was sentenced to six years in prison in the death of her autistic son, Nicholas.
The woman was sentenced Monday morning in Henderson.
Cutteridge accepted a plea agreement a few weeks ago on a second degree manslaughter charge. In the plea, Cutteridge did not admit guilt, but said there was enough evidence to convict her.
An autopsy showed her son Nicholas died of blunt force trauma. Cutteridge could be out of prison in three years.
Earlier: A local mother charged in the murder of her autistic son is due to be sentenced Monday.
Last month, 32-year-old Christina Cutteridge, formerly of Henderson, accepted a plea agreement on a charge of second degree manslaughter.
The body of her son Nicholas was found in a mobile home in January. An autopsy showed he died of blunt force trauma.
A six year prison term was recommended for Cutteridge. Her formal sentencing gets underway at 10:00 Monday morning.
