There's a new cell phone ringtone that's hot with kids.
If you're an adult, you probably haven't heard it - and chances are, you never will. But it's a dream come true for chatty kids: a cell phone ringtone adults can't hear.
Listen closely to the sound in the video link at the top of this page. If you're older, you probably heard nothing at first, so we slow it down for you to detect.
It's called the Mosquito. A super-high-pitched buzz, originally marketed to convenience stores and other places, plagued by loitering youngsters.
Supposedly, if you broadcast the Mosquito over a loudspeaker system - teens will 'buzz-off' your property.
But it didn't take kids long to figure out how to use the new technology to their advantage.
Now the stealthy ringtone has gone global and Welsh inventor Howard Stapleton is turning a tidy profit.
You can download the Mosquito ringtone free from many sites on the Internet.
