Two Arrested on Rx Drug Fraud

Web Producer: Jill Middleton

A Daviess County woman is charged with prescription and medicaid fraud.

34-year-old Shelly Phipps of Washington is accused of trying to fill altered prescriptions for xanax, percocet, and robaxin at William Brother's Pharmacy.

Police say Phipps also tried to file a medicaid claim on those prescriptions.

And a Gibson County man is arrested for prescription fraud.

Police say 61-year-old David Hume of Winslow obtained hydrocodone illegally by getting prescriptions from multiple physicians.

The investigation revealed none of the physicians knew Hume was receiving the drugs from other doctors.
