NEBRASKA (NBC) - Farmers are now embracing the latest social networking craze and jumping on the Twitter bandwagon.
In Nebraska, the Hunnicutt brothers are using the micro-bogging tool to talk about the agriculture industry.
Topics like weather, soil temperature, and farm equipment are the focus of the Hunnicutt brothers' tweets.
Farmer Brandon Hunnicutt said, "That is where I really see this could being beneficial. Instantly, I can say I'm having a problem out in the field with a monitor or a certain brand of equipment. Anybody who you might be following might be able to get you an answer right back."
Right now, the brothers follow twelve farmers on Twitter in the Midwest, a number that's sure to grow.
