DAWSON SPRINGS, KY (WFIE) - In a report by the Department of Health and Human Services, more information is now known about the Dawson Pointe Nursing Home cited for improper cell phone usage.
The report says an elderly resident at the nursing home was recorded twice on April first by a nursing assistant with a cell phone. Both times that resident was nude and in a shower chair.
The report describes the first recording as 25 seconds in length, showing the elderly resident nude looking directly into the recording device and having garbled speech.
The report describes the second video, 42 seconds long, as even more revealing, showing the resident's entire body nude.
According to the report, the resident reached for the recording device as if trying to grab it, and clearly said "turn it off." While this is happening, a faint chuckle can be heard in the background.
One employee was arrested in this case on April 19. Phyliss Johnson, 19, of Dawson Springs, was charged with video voyeurism and abuse and neglect of an adult.
Her case has been referred to a grand jury.
