VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) - A well-respected teacher and public servant has passed away.
Rick Borries died just after midnight Saturday morning at Saint Mary's Hospital.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner's office said Borries died of natural causes.
Borries ran for Evansville mayor in 1999, but was defeated by Russ Lloyd Junior.
He also served four terms as a Vanderburgh County commissioner.
