WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) - A federal inquiry is underway to determine if Warrick County Republican Commissioner Art Noffsinger is in violation of the Hatch Act.

Our media partner, Warrick County Publishing reports the office of special counsel was contacted by Warrick County Democratic Chairman Terry White.

The Hatch Act prohibits certain federal employees from engaging in political activity while on duty.

Noffsinger is a disaster planning analyst for the Department of Health and Human Services.

Our media partner says Noffsinger has been notified of the complaint and says it could months before an opinion is filed.
